1. Hole Opener
1. Initially, drillers begin with a smaller hole and subsequently expand it using a hole opener. This technique is commonly applied as a standard drilling method, especially when dealing with lower-powered drilling machines or when the desired end-hole is considerably large.
In cases where the drilling machine has lower power or when the end-hole is significantly large, utilizing a hole opener is an essential part of the drilling process, ensuring seamless expansion of the initially smaller hole.
2. Our expertise allows us to design customized hole openers and solutions tailored to the specific rock hardness, drilling depth,
size of the pilot hole, and size of the desired end-hole.
3. When tricone bits are employed as pilot bits, the hole opener effectively becomes a rock bit. This configuration is highly suitable for special size well drilling.
The combination of a hole opener with tricone bits as pilot bits is particularly beneficial in diverse well-drilling applications, especially where specialized sizes are involved.
4. The reamer features an arrangement of four or more cones, ensuring efficient performance.
5. Its cutting structure is enhanced with premium tungsten carbide hard facing or inserts,
utilizing advanced formulas and techniques that significantly boost the wear-resistance of the reamer, ensuring a longer operational life.
6. The pilot element is a tricone bit, essential for initial drilling accuracy.
7. Seal and Lubrication: Equipped with a high-performance HNBR O-ring for superior bearing seal and advanced grease for optimal lubrication.
8. Product Applications: Ideally suited for large size well drilling, mining operations, and various infrastructure applications.
9. Recommended Drilling Parameters: It is important to note that the size and number of cones are tailored according to
the specific requirements and preferences of the customer to ensure optimal performance.
2. Advantages of Hole Opener Bits
In directional crossing operations, which are prominently used in unexcavated projects, the process typically involves three key steps:
1. Oriented hole operation; 2. Hole opening; 3. Pipe pulling.
Among these, hole opening is the most demanding task. However, the success of this operation largely depends on selecting the right hole opener,
guided by the operational equipment and the specific geological formation involved.
